Home Trial Care brings the clinical trial site to your participants. Pre-screening, home visit nursing, and a nationwide fleet of mobile research units — removing the barriers that cost trials their data.
Three integrated capabilities that span the full participant journey — from first contact to final visit.
Reduce screen failure rates and maximise eligible enrolment with clinician-led remote and telephone pre-screening, conducted before participants reach your site.
Our hand-picked research nursing team attends participants in their own homes across the UK, maintaining the gold standard of care that site visits provide — without the travel burden.
Through our partnership with the Primary Care Research Alliance, we provide access to a UK-wide network of GP-led practices that bring their own fully equipped mobile research vans and research nursing teams — operating as contractors to Home Trial Care.
Home Trial Care has partnered with the Primary Care Research Alliance to access a UK-wide network of mobile research units. The vans and the nursing teams are owned and provided by PCRA member practices operating as contractors — we co-ordinate, govern, and are your single point of contract.
They were very quick to respond, simple to deal with, and offered a pleasant and reliable clinical experience. I have spent my entire career working in nursing and would highly recommend them.

Home Trial Care has partnered with member practices of the Primary Care Research Alliance (PCRA) to extend our UK-wide decentralised trial delivery — bringing together GP-led research expertise, community nursing, and mobile research infrastructure under one contract.
PCRA member practices are experienced GP-led research sites. Those within our network bring something unique: their own fully equipped mobile research vans and trained research nursing teams, operating as contractors to Home Trial Care.
This means a sponsor or CRO engaging Home Trial Care gains access to a genuinely distributed, primary care-rooted delivery network — with the nursing, the vehicles, and the local patient relationships all coming from within primary care itself. You engage one organisation. The infrastructure spans the country.
PCRA members are working GP practices. Their research nurses are community clinicians. Their vans are already in the communities where your participants live — this is not a logistics exercise, it is embedded primary care.
You do not manage individual GP practices or van operators. Home Trial Care is your single contracting and accountable body. We handle partner selection, governance, training sign-off, and operational oversight across the network.
Because the PCRA network already exists and its members are already operational, studies can activate across multiple regions simultaneously — without the lead time of building a network from scratch.
If you are a primary care practice with a mobile research unit and trained nursing team, we'd like to talk about joining the Home Trial Care contractor network.
Whether you're at protocol stage or already recruiting, our team can mobilise quickly. Let's discuss your study.
